KV-SSM100 System Recovery: System Recovery is necessary, for example, if you forgot (or don't have access to) the administrator password. This operation will erase all settings and all updates from the device; all data will be lost and cannot be recovered. Also, the unit will be downgraded to the original system version that was shipped with the unit. To continue, proceed as follows: 1. If adapter is On, press [Power] button to turn unit Off. 2. Connect a USB keyboard to the USB port on the unit. 3. Turn adapter On. 4. Follow Path 1 or Path 2, based on the adapter's Start-up Screen. Start-up Screen PATH 1 Start-up Screen PATH 2 a. Press [F10] and hold for a moment. Note: The process will take a few minutes. See bottom of display for progress gauge. a. On Windows Boot Manager screen, select Factory Recovery, and then press [Enter] on keyboard. b. When recovery is complete, the Welcome screen displays. To reconfigure the adapter, see Configure Device Now or Load Configuration from USB. b. On Veeam Endpoint Recovery screen, select [Bare Metal Recovery] option, and then press [Enter] on keyboard.
