Making/Answering Calls Making calls Using the handset 1 Lift the handset and dial the phone number. R To correct a digit, press MCLEARN. 2 Press M N or MCALLN. 3 When you finish talking, press MOFFN or place the handset on the base unit or charger. Using the speakerphone 1 Dial the phone number and press M N. R Speak alternately with the other party. 2 When you finish talking, press MOFFN. Note: R For best performance, use the speakerphone in a quiet environment. R To switch back to the receiver, press M N/M N. Adjusting the receiver or speaker volume Press MDN or MCN repeatedly while talking. Making a call using the redial list The last 5 phone numbers dialed are stored in the redial list (each 48 digits max.). 1 MREDIALN or MEN REDIAL R If there is a new message in the voice mail or answering system, MREDIALN is not displayed. 2 MbN: Select the desired phone number. 3M N Erasing a number in the redial list 1 MREDIALN or MEN REDIAL 2 MbN: Select the desired phone number. a MERASEN 3 MbN: "Yes" a MSELECTN 4 MOFFN Using the base unit n KX-TG6631 series: page 3 You can make calls with the base unit after storing phone number in speed dial key (page 25). 1 Press the speed dial key (MAN to MCN). 2 When the other party answers, speak into the microphone. R Speak alternately with the other party. 3 When you finish talking, press MSP-PHONEN. n KX-TG6641 series: page 3 1 Dial the phone number. 2 MSP-PHONEN 3 When the other party answers, speak into the microphone. R Speak alternately with the other party. 4 When you finish talking, press MSP-PHONEN. Note: R For best performance, use the speakerphone in a quiet environment. R While on a call, you can switch from the base unit to the handset: - Press M N on the handset, then press MSP-PHONEN on the base unit with the call sharing mode on (page 29). - If the handset is on the base unit, simply lift it.
