Making/Answering Calls Using the Base Unit Making cellular calls 4 MEXITN Important: R Only 1 cellular line can be used at a time. R Before making calls, confirm that the corresponding CELL indicator lights up (page 16). 1 Dial the phone number. R To correct a digit, press MCLEARN. 2 Press the desired cellular line key (MCELL 1N to MCELL 4N). 3 Lift the corded handset. 4 When you finish talking, place the corded handset on the cradle. Note: R While on a call, you can switch from the base unit to the cordless handset as follows. The call sharing mode must be on (page 29). A Handset: MCELLN*1 a MbN: Select the desired cellular phone. a MSELECTN *1 The call is taken when: - only 1 cellular phone is paired. - a specific line is set to make cellular calls (page 21). B Base unit: Place the corded handset on the cradle. When the speakerphone is used, press M N. R During a conversation with the corded handset, you can switch to the speakerphone by pressing M N, then place the corded handset on the cradle. Adjusting the receiver or speaker volume Press MDN or MCN repeatedly while talking. Making a cellular call using the redial list The last 10 phone numbers dialed are stored in the redial list (each 48 digits max.). 1 MREDIALN 2 MbN: Select the desired phone number. 3 Press the desired cellular line key (MCELL 1N to MCELL 4N), then lift the corded handset. Erasing a number in the redial list 1 MREDIALN 2 MbN: Select the desired phone number. a MERASEN 3 MbN: "Yes" a MSELECTN Making landline calls 1 Dial the phone number. R To correct a digit, press MCLEARN. 2 Lift the corded handset. R An available line is automatically selected and either the LINE 1 indicator or LINE 2 indicator lights up. To change the line selection mode, see page 18. R You can also select the line manually by pressing MLINE 1N or MLINE 2N before lifting the corded handset. 3 When you finish talking, place the corded handset on the cradle. Note: R You can also dial the phone number after lifting the corded handset. R While on a call, you can switch from the base unit to the cordless handset as follows. Making cellular calls
