Troubleshooting Problem Cause & Remedy When you play back messages or turn on the Answering System, the handset and base unit announce the wrong day and time. • The date and time may be set incorrectly. Set the date and time again (p. 14). General Problem The unit does not work. "Recharge battery" is displayed, "7" flashes, or the handset beeps intermittently. "Charge for 6h" and "8" are displayed and the handset does not work. You charged the battery fully, but "Recharge battery" is still displayed and/or "7" continues to flash, or "Charge for 6h" and "8" are displayed. The CHARGE indicator does not go out after the battery has been charged. If you cannot solve your problem Cause & Remedy • Check the settings (p. 9-11). • Check whether the dialing mode setting is correct (p. 15). • Fully charge the battery (p. 10). • Clean the charge contacts and charge again (p. 11). • Check battery installation (p. 10). • Unplug the base unit's AC adaptor to reset it. Plug in, and try again. • Re-install the battery (p. 10) and fully charge it. • Fully charge the battery (p. 10). • The battery has been discharged. Fully charge the battery (p. 10). • Check battery installation (p. 10). • Clean the charge contacts and charge again (p. 11). • The battery may need to be replaced.
