Unit Buttons Front View 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 10 12 14 16 18 20 22 24 26 9 11 13 15 17 19 21 23 25 VCR Operation DVD Operation 1 Built In Speakers Equipped with 2 front speakers. 2 Audio Input Connector Connect from other component. 3 Disc Tray Place compatible discs here. 4 Cassette Compartment 5 Phones Jack 6 Video Input Connector 7 POWER 8 STILL 9 STOP 10 PLAY 11 SKIP ◄Ι ◄ 12 SKIP ►►Ι Insert VHS tapes here. Connect an ear phone or headphones. Connect from other component. Turns the unit on or off. Pauses picture in Playback mode and frame advance picture in Still mode. Stops playback. Begins playback. Skips back one chapter or track. Goes to previous menu screen. Skips one chapter or track. Goes to next screen. 13 OPEN/CLOSE Opens or closes the disc tray. 14 VOLUME UP/ DOWN CHANNEL UP/ 15 DOWN or TRACKING UP/ DOWN 16 INPUT Adjusts volume. Selects a channel. Reduces picture noise during Playback and Slow Motion. Changes input source. 17 STOP/ EJECT STOP: Stops playback. EJECT: Ejects the tape. PLAY: 18 PLAY/ REPEAT Begins playback. REPEAT: Sets to see a recording over and over. 19 REWIND/ SEARCH Rewinds tape and searches previous scene. Decreases slow motion speed in Still mode. FAST Fast forwards tape and searches 20 FORWARD/ next scene. Increases slow SEARCH motion speed in Still mode. 21 REC Records a program. 22 Remote Sensor Receives infrared signal from remote control. 23 REC Indicator (RED) Lights up during recording. In Rec Pause or OTR Pause mode, the Indicator flashes. ON TIMER 24 Indicator (ORANGE) Lights when the On Timer is set. PROG TIMER 25 Indicator (GREEN) Lights up when the unit is set for Timer Recording. It flashes when a Timer Recording has been set with no tape inserted, the clock is not set, or the tape is in motion. Lights up when the On Timer is set. 26 ANGLE Indicator (RED) Lights up when a scene recorded at a different angles is detected.
