In that case, create the menu again. Preparation pTurn on the television and select the appropriate video input to suit the connections to this unit. pTurn the unit on. Off Timer The unit switches to standby after about 6 hours in the stop mode. You can turn this feature off or change the time to 2 hours (➡ page 37, "Off Timer"). 1 Press [THEATER] to switch the remote control to operate this unit. 2 Press [DRIVE SELECT] to select the DVD drive. Remaining time on the disc 6 Press [q REC] to start recording. The elapsed time is shown on the display. Recording will take place on free space on disc. Data will not be overwritten. pYou can adjust the volume using [A B VOLUME]. Adjusting the volume will not affect the recorded audio. pYou cannot change the channel or recording mode during recording. You can change the channel or recording mode while paused; however, the recording will then be as a separate title. pYou can record while the unit is in standby for scheduled recording, but once the time for the scheduled recording to begin is reached, any recording taking place will stop and the scheduled recording will begin. w To pause recording Press []. Press again to restart recording. You can also press [q REC] to restart. (Title is not split into separate titles.) w To stop recording Press [w]. pFrom the start to the end of the recording is called one title. p[-R] [-R]DL] [-RW‹V›] [+R] [+R]DL] [+RW] It takes about 30 seconds for the unit to complete recording management information after recording finishes. w When recording the channel (not set on this unit) from cable box or satellite receiver  Select the channel on the equipment before turning the unit on.  Press [9:CH] to select IN1 or IN2 in step 4 (➡ above).
