MODEL NUMBER SL-SV590 SERIAL NUMBER User memo: DATE OF PURCHASE DEALER NAME DEALER ADDRESS TELEPHONE NUMBER Note about using a DualDisc The digital audio content side of a DualDisc does not meet the technical specifications of the Compact Disc Digital Audio (CD-DA) format so play may not be possible. Do not use a DualDisc in this unit as it may not be possible to insert it correctly and it may get scratched or scraped. Power supply Play time page 2, Specifications Dry cell batteries (not included) Press to open the lid. OPEN Insert the batteries in the direction of the arrows. Close the battery lid securely. OPEN Press the tab firmly and lift upwards. OPEN "LR6, AA" alkaline batteries (Lift up the left side of the battery when removing.) Fit the battery lid so it is secure and flush with the battery compartment. If it comes loose, it may scratch your discs. The battery indicator (This indicator appears when the unit is on.) 0005 - 05:22 The unit switches off shortly after the indicator starts flashing. Before playing starts the battery indicator level may temporarily go down or flash although the batteries are not drained. It appears correctly once you start play. The battery indicator level may differ when listening to a CD or the radio. The battery indicator level may briefly go down when changing from CD to radio or vice versa. It appears correctly immediately afterwards. Listening to CDs (Basic play) MP3 and CD-DA indicate limitations on these discs only. Press to open OPEN the disc lid. Make sure that the battery lid is securely closed. Insert a disc and close the disc lid. Removing a disc HOLD Slide to cancel cancel HOLD. For U.S.A.: Headphones For Canada: Earphones Press to start playing a disc. (The power switches on and play starts.) Current Elapsed play track number time of track 010 - 00:01 MP3 Lights while playing MP3 Insert the VOL plug fully . Move this when the earphones are not in use. (Prevents tangling) side for the right ear, side for the left ear Press to adjust the volume. (0 to 25) (VOL : Decrease VOL : Increase) If the plug is not fully inserted, the sound may be interrupted. Pause Skip Press. Press again to restart play. Stop Press. Press [ ] twice consecutively to skip to the beginning of the previous track while playing. You cannot use [ ] to skip to any previous tracks during random and random repeat play modes ( page 5). Search CD-DA (backward) (forward) While playing, press and hold. You can only search within the current track except for during all track repeat ( page 5) and regular play. While stopped, press. (Everything disappears from the display.) If the unit is left in stop mode for approximately 10 minutes, it turns itself off automatically.
