PENTAX inC35 WINDER Winder iostallation 1. Set winder on Pentax PC35AF side, to enable proper coupling of component (covering for shutter button & film advance wheel) of the winder so that it completely covers the camera's shutter button. a If PeNTA% LIENS PEN -TAX 2. Firmly affix winder screw, turning the same clockwise-a coin or similar object may be used for this purpose. The PC35 Winder, an optional auto film winder exclusively designed for the Pentax PC35AF, is able to automate film winding functions. • The PC35 winder operates on two 1.5V alkaline mini batteries; approximately ten 36-exp. film cassettes may be used when the winder is provided with a new set of batteries. • Film transport-will advance the film one frame after a photograph has been taken. • Winder capability-approximately one frame per second • Size & weight-54(w) x 72.5(h) x 46(d)mm; 85g w/o batteries Film loading In loading a film cassette, open film advance wheel cover by sliding it to the right as illustrated. Ascertain by winding on slightly that film perforations are properly engaged by the sprocket; then, take up any remaining slack, using the rewind crank, and replace back cover. Description of components • When the film comes to an end, the motor will idle with clatter; turn off the winder switch. Also, when the batteries are worn out, the film is not wound up; replace the batteries right away. Operation 1. Winder power switch must be turned on; close film advance wheel cover, and the film will be automatically wound on until film counter indicates "1"-at the positioning of `0-2'. 2. The winder is now ready for operation. Pressing the shutter release button, an audible click will be heard; by releasing the pressure, the film will be automatically advanced. A Lilla• Insertion of batteries 1. Remove battery chamber cover at winder base by gently pushing it in the direction of the arrow. 2. Carefully place two 1.5V mini batteries in the chamber provided according to the + and - cap markings; close cover. Caution • Winder may operate even if the batteries are improperly inserted, but film winding doesn't function. Notes: • The winder stops its forward movement after cocking the shutter, so even if the winder power switch is turned off, depressing of the winder's shutter button will release the shutter unexpectedly, which may cause waste of a frame. To avoid such a releasing the shutter in error, close the lens protector. • Whenever the camera's back cover or the film advance wheel covering of the winder is open, the winder will not operate as the built-in safety mechanism acts as a safety device.
