26 ATTACHING THE LENS HOOD In order to avoid deterioration in image quality from internal reflection, use of a lens hood is recommended. a a. Screw-on Type (DA 70mm f/2.4 Limited dedicated lens hood) Screw the hood on to the front of the lens to attach it. The hood is telescopic. Extend it fully to use it. "Memo: The lens hood cannot be mounted on some circular polarizing filters that are not produced by PENTAX.
