Winding
the
Bobbin
Disengage
the
sewing
mechanism
(see
page
4),
and
place
spool
of
thread
on
right-
hand
spool
pin.
Set
bobbin
on
bobbin
winder
spindle
so
that
key
at
base
of
spindle
enters
slot
in
bobbin.
Pull
thread
from
spool,
and
pass
it
through
both
front
holes
of
thread
retainer
(2)
and
thence
to
the
bobbin
on
the
bobbin
winder
spindle.
Wind
end
of
thread
clockwise
around
bobbin
twice
and
pass
it
through
bobbin
slot,
from
inside.
Press
bobbin
winder
lever
(see
arrow)
toward
bobbin
and
start
winding,
then
break
off end
of
thread.
Bobbin
winder
will
stop
automatically
when
bobbin
is
full.
This
thread
retainer
enables
you,
to
wind
the
bobbin
from
a
second
spool
without
unthreading
the
needle.
