22 Fast Forward/Reverse Search DVD AUDIO CD 1 During playback, press the FWDg button or the REVh button on the remote control (or press the SEARCH buttons on the DVD Player). q On a DVD, pressing the FWDg or REVh button repeatedly will forward or reverse the picture at twice, eight times, or 32 times the normal playback speed. Sound will be muted during searching. q Use the FWD g button for a forward search. Press the REVh button for a reverse search. Press the REV E button. EX2 Press the FWD D button. DX2 1 2 Press the REV E button again. EX8 Press the FWD D button again. DX8 Press the REV E button again. EX32 Press the FWD D button again. DX32 Press the REV E button again. Press the FWD D button again. q On an Audio CD, you may search forward or backward at 16 times the normal playback speed (hX16 or gX16). Pressing the FWD g or REVh button repeatedly will not affect the speed of the search. Sound will be intermittent during searching on an Audio CD. q Use the FWD g button for a forward search. Press the REVh button for a reverse search. Press the REV E button during Audio CD playback.
