English System Menu Options Closed Captions Closed captions are data that are hidden in the video signal of some discs. Captions are different from subtitles because captions hearing are impaired by showing the sound effects (e.g., "phone ringing" and "footsteps"), while subtitles do not. Before you select this function, please ensure that the disc contains closed captions information and your TV set also has this function. DIVX(R) VOD registration code Philips provides you the DivX® VOD (Video On Demand) registration code that allows you to rent and purchase videos using the DivX® VOD service. For more information, visit us at www.divx.com/ vod. 1 In 'General Setup Page', press 3 4 to highlight DIVX(R) VOD, then press 2 or OK to ener its submenu and press OK again to confirm. ➜ The registration code will appear.
