SPH-DA110 AppRadio Start Up Guide English This guide is intended to introduce you to the basic functions of AppRadio. Notes ! Pioneer is not responsible for any cellular voice, data, and application fees you may incur. ! The screens shown in the examples may differ from actual screens. Actual screens may be changed without notice for performance and function improvements. AppRadio is an innovative car audio system with a 7-inch capacitive touch panel screen display that when used along with AppRadio Mode, facilitates the use of mobile device applications from Pioneer and other providers in the vehicle. In addition to the basic functions such as radio and Bluetooth® hands-free phoning, you'll have full access to the AppRadio-compatible mobile device applications when a mobile device is connected. For details of functions and operation of this product, refer to the Operation Manual by scanning the following QR code. For iPhone For AndroidTM adevice and MirrorLinkTM device AppRadio Mode You can control applications for mobile devices directly on this product (AppRadio Mode). To use the AppRadio Mode, install the AppRadio app on the mobile device beforehand to enable launching of the application on this product. Printed in Thailand UC When an iPhone with Lightning connector or Android device is connected, you must make the Bluetooth connection with Serial Port Profile (SPP) from this product. Only when an Android device is connected and the Bluetooth connection is established, the [Apps] icon will be changed to . You can operate applications with finger gestures such as tapping, dragging, scrolling or flicking on the screen of this product. When an Android device is first connected to this product, touch the white dot to activate the connection. Connecting a mobile device AppRadio Mode should only be used in the connection configuration shown. Do not use any other configuration when connecting your device. Please check the [App Connection Settings] setting before connecting a mobile device. Refer to Using the AppRadio Mode in this guide. Connecting your iPhone with Lightning connector 1.Connect your iPhone to this product via the separately sold HDMI/USB interface for iPod / iPhone (CD-IH202). *1 *2 The Lightning to USB Cable*1 (CD-IU52) (sold separately) and the Lightning Digital AV Adapter*2 (Apple Inc. products) (sold separately) are required for connection. 2. Register your iPhone and make the Bluetooth connection. For detailed procedures, refer to Registering your Bluetooth device in this guide. Connecting your iPhone with 30-pin Connect your iPhone to this product via the separately sold USB interface cable for iPod / iPhone (CD-IU201N). Connecting your Android device 1. Connect your Android device to this product via the separately sold App Connectivity Kit (CD-AH200). Connecting an Android device with an HDMI port Connecting an Android device with an MHL port Hardware buttons     Volume (+/-) button Press to adjust the AV volume.  Home button Press to display the Home screen. In the AppRadio Mode and the MirrorLink mode, press to display the Application menu screen. Press twice to display the Audio source control keys. 3 Menu button* Press to display the Application menu screen. 4 Back button* Press to return the previous screen. * The buttons are available while operating the application in the AppRadio Mode or MirrorLink mode. Register your Android device and make the Bluetooth connection with Serial Port Profile (SPP). For detailed procedures, refer to Registering your Bluetooth device in this guide. Application menu screen AppRadio Mode screen Application operation screen Audio source control keys When you press the Home button twice, the audio source control keys will be displayed on-screen. Using these keys, you can operate the audio source currently playing in the background without leaving the screen currently displayed. With the MIX function, you can listen to the audio of the radio, or music on the connected iPod/Bluetooth audio device while using the Apps/MirrorLink source.     1 Selects whether to mix the audio output of the application with the audio output of the radio, Bluetooth, or iPod in the Apps or MirrorLink source (for Android and MirrorLink devices). 2 Switches the audio source between muted and unmuted . 3 Moves to the next or previous song, file or chapter when [iPod] , [Apps], [MirrorLink] or [Bluetooth] is selected as the source. Moves to the next or previous preset channel when [Radio] is selected as the source. Skips the current song when [Pandora] is selected as the source.  MIX ON: switches the source screen to be controlled in the Apps or MirrorLink source. MIX OFF: displays the Home screen in the Apps or MirrorLink source. This function is disabled in the other sources. 5 Switches between playback and pause when [iPod], [Apps], [MirrorLink], [Pandora] or [Bluetooth] is selected as the source. Switches the frequency bands when [Radio] is selected as the source. 6 Turns the screen off. To turn it back on, tap anywhere on the screen or press the Home, Menu or Back button. Listening to the radio When you tap the [Radio] icon on the Home screen, the radio source screen appears and the broadcast starts. You can control the radio source by tapping the control key. 1 1 Switches the frequency bands. 2 Selects a preset channel. 3 Adjusts the frequency manually. To keep touching searches for receivable frequencies. 2 3 Playing iPod music or videos When an iPod is connected to this product, an [iPod] icon becomes active on the Home screen. When you tap [iPod] on the Home screen, the iPod audio source screen appears. You can control playback by tapping the control keys. • When an iPhone with Lightning connector is connected, [iPod] is disabled. For iPhone with Lightning connector, please use the CarMediaPlayer to play music or videos in the AppRadio Mode. Touching and holding the key or the key performs fast reverse/fast forward. 2 Switches between playback and pause. 3 Selects the repeat range. 4 Plays songs or videos in random order. Selecting the audio/video source 1. Tap the icon on the upper right corner to display the playlist screen. 2. Locate and tap the (audio) or (video) icon to be played from the playlist. Playing Bluetooth audio music You can control the Bluetooth connection of the audio devices, and play and operate the audio source. 1. Connect your audio device that supports A2DP/AVRCP profile(s) with Bluetooth wireless technology. 2.Tap the [Bluetooth] icon on the Home screen. The audio source screen appears. 3.Tap the control keys to playback the audio source. When a device that supports the A2DP with the AVRCP is connected, the playback information may be displayed. Control Keys Before using the Bluetooth audio function, first use the device to pair this product with it. For detailed procedures, refer to Registering your Bluetooth device in this guide. Registering your Bluetooth device 1.Tap the icon on the upper right corner of the Home screen to display the phone menu. 2.Tap the icon to display the "Bluetooth Connection Menu". 5.Tap the name of the device you want to register in the device list. 6.When PIN code input is required, enter the PIN code (the default PIN code is "0000"). The icons in the device list are illuminated as follows. 3.Tap the [Connection]. 4.Tap the icon to display a list of registerable devices. Icons Conditions Illuminates when your mobile device is successfully connected with the HFP (HandsFree Profile). Illuminates when your audio device is successfully connected with the A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile)/AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile). Illuminates when the Bluetooth connection is established with the SPP (Serial Port Profile). Disconnecting and re-connecting your device Tap the name of your device in the registered device list to disconnect the Bluetooth connection. To connect your device and this product again, tap the name of your device in the registered device list. Hands-free phoning You can control the Bluetooth connection of the mobile device, and make a call using the incoming/outgoing call histories, transferred contacts, or by dialing. MirrorLinkTM When you connect a MirrorLink device with MirrorLink compatible applications installed, you can control applications for the mobile device directly on this product (MirrorLink mode). Connecting your MirrorLink device Please check the [App Connection Settings] setting before connecting a mobile device. Refer to Using the AppRadio Mode in this guide. Connect your MirrorLink device to this product via the separately sold USB interface cable for MirrorLink (CD-MU200). Using the MirrorLink mode 1.Connect a MirrorLink device. 3. Tap an application icon. [MirrorLink] becomes active. 2.Tap [MirrorLink]. If the launcher application is installed in the MirrorLink device, the application launches. If not, the Application menu screen appears. The application launches, and the Application operation screen appears. You can operate applications with finger gestures such as tapping, dragging, scrolling or flicking on the screen of this product.

AppRadio Mode
You can control applications for
mobile devices directly on this
product (AppRadio Mode). To use the
AppRadio Mode, install the AppRadio
app on the mobile device beforehand
to enable launching of the application
on this product.

Using the AppRadio Mode
1.Press Home button and tap
[Settings]

2.Connect a mobile device.
When an iPhone with Lightning

Audio source control keys
When you press the
Home
button twice, the audio source control keys will be
displayed on-screen. Using these keys, you can operate the audio source currently
playing in the background without leaving the screen currently displayed.

Listening to the radio
When you tap the [
Radio
] icon on the Home screen, the radio source screen
appears and the broadcast starts. You can control the radio source by tapping the

corner of the Home screen to

1.Connect a MirrorLink device.

2.Tap [MirrorLink].
If the launcher application is
installed in the MirrorLink device, the
application launches.
If not, the Application menu screen
appears.
3. Tap an application icon.
The application launches, and

appears.
