LONGEST RECORDING Time for world records in digital recording. Thanks to the special encoding, the hard disk provides unsurpassed storage capacities: e.g. the 250 GB hard disk stores up to 711 hours - that's approximately 1400 episodes of your favourite TV series or over 450 feature films. To top it all, the giant 500 GB hard disk stores up to 1422 hours. Last but not least, you can copy most content from hard disk to DVD at high speed. PAUSE LIVE TV Breaks allowed: Pause Live TV. You are watching a film or a football match and then the telephone rings. What should you do? Very simple: press a button, freeze the screen and stay on the phone as long as you want. Later, restart the programme at the point where you stopped it. CI SLOT Plug in your smart cards. If you have pay TV, take your smart card and plug it directly into the HDD/DVD recorder's CI slot. Now, an additional decoder box is no longer needed. Electronic Programme Guide. Make sure you never miss anything you want to watch. The Guide Plus+ EPG is a user-friendly electronic programme guide, which allows you to browse through all channels, search for programmes by time or category, and record them at the touch of a button. You can also record the same programme again, week after week. LONGEST RECORDING ON DVD Nobody else can put a whole day on a DVD. The recording time on dual layer discs sets an all-new record: You can store up to 24 hours on a single DVD-R Dual Layer disc. In practical terms, that is up to 16 full-length films or 48 episodes of your favourite TV series. 19
