You can use any of the three disc trays in the changer. Finalizing a disc See What's finalization? on the other side of this Quick Start Guide for more information on what finalization does. 1 Press FINALIZE. • Press 7 (CD-R side) here to cancel finalization. 2 Load a CD-R or CD-RW into the CD-R tray. If the disc isn't blank, make sure there is enough space on the disc for what you want to record (See Switching the display on page xx for how to check this). 3 Press the CD SELECT button for the disc you want to record. 4 Play the track you want to record. Use 41 and ¡ ¢ (CD changer side), or the number buttons on the remote, to select the track you want to record. It should start playing. 2 Press 6 (CD-R side) to start finalization. Finalization takes about 2 minutes; you'll see how long there is still to go in the display. MIN SEC CD-R REC After finalization is complete: If a CD-R is loaded, the CD-R indicator changes to CD. If a CD-RW is loaded, the finalize indicator lights in the display. • None of the controls on the player or the remote have any effect during finalization. 5 Press START CD= CD-R (REC THIS). REC THIS REC REC THIS The CD changer will jump to the beginning of the track and the CD-R starts recording. The recorder stops automatically at the end of the track. • Repeat steps 3 to 5 to record more tracks. • See Finalizing a disc, opposite, if you want to finalize the disc now.
