5 Copying CDs
Introduction
Recording CDs from the disc changer has several advantages over
recording from an external CD player.
Double speed copying lets you record a disc in half the
regular time.
Automatic spacing when individual tracks are recorded.
Automatic SCMS copying makes sure that, whenever
possible, you'll get a digital copy. In the event of a disc
preventing digital copying with SCMS, the link beween the
changer and the CD-R automatically switches to analog.
Copying CDs
If you want to duplicate a CD exactly as it is, the easiest way is to
follow the steps in
Quick CD Copying
on page 13. The instructions
here give you a little more control over the recording you make.

Load the CD you want to copy in to
the CD changer.
You can use any of the three disc trays in the changer.

Load a CD-R or CD-RW into the
CD-R tray.
If the disc isn't blank, make sure that there is enough space
on the disc for what you want to record (see
Switching the
Display
on page 30 for how to check this).

Press COPY MODE.
The display shows
Disc Copy
.
If you want to switch the copying speed, do so here. The

recording, press FINALIZE.
