SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTS TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULB • Raise hood. • Pull bulb holder out of the hole in the backside of the grill. • Replace bulb in holder and push bulb holder securely back into the hole in the backside of the grill. • Close hood. INTERLOCKS AND RELAYS Loose or damaged wiring may cause your tractor to run poorly, stop running, or prevent it from starting. • Check wiring. See electrical wiring diagram in the Repair Parts section. TO REPLACE FUSE Replace with 20 amp automotive-type plug-in fuse. The fuse holder is located behind the dash. TO REMOVE HOOD AND GRILL ASSEMBLY (See Fig. 31) • Raise hood. • Unsnap headlight wire connector. • Stand in front of tractor. Grasp hood at sides, tilt toward engine and lift off of tractor. • To replace, reverse above procedures. HOOD HEADLIGHT WIRE CONNECTOR TO ADJUST CHOKE CONTROL (See Fig. 33) The choke control has been preset at the factory and adjustment should not be necessary. Check adjustment as described below before loosening cable. If adjustment is necessary, proceed as follows: • With engine not running, move choke control (located on dash panel) to full choke position. • Loosen knob and remove cover assembly from air cleaner. • Choke should be closed. If it is not, loosen casing clamp screw and move choke cable until choke is completely closed. Tighten casing clamp screw securely. • Replace air cleaner cover assembly and tighten knob. TO ADJUST CARBURETOR Your carburetor is not adjustable. If your engine does not operate properly due to suspected carburetor problems, take your tractor to an authorized service center for repair and/or adjustment. High speed stop is factory adjusted. Do not adjust - damage may result. IMPORTANT: NEVERTAMPER WITHTHE ENGINE GOVERNOR, WHICH IS FACTORY SET FOR PROPER ENGINE SPEED. OVERSPEEDING THE ENGINE ABOVE THE FACTORY HIGH SPEED SETTING CAN BE DANGEROUS. IF YOU THINK THE ENGINE-GOVERNED HIGH SPEED NEEDS ADJUSTING, CONTACTYOUR NEAREST AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER/ DEPARTMENT, WHICH HAS PROPER EQUIPMENT AND EXPERIENCE TO MAKE ANY NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS. If adjustment is necessary, proceed as follows: • With engine not running, move throttle control lever to fast position. • Check that swivel is against stop. SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTS
ENGINE
TO ADJUST THROTTLE CONTROL CABLE
(See Fig. 32)
The throttle control has been preset at the factory and
adjustment should not be necessary.
Check adjustment
as described below before loosening cable.
If adjustment
is necessary, proceed as follows:
With engine not running, move throttle control lever
to
fast position.
Check that swivel is against stop. If it is not, loosen
cable clamp screw and pull cable back until swivel is
against stop. Tighten cable clamp screw securely.

Raise hood.
Unsnap headlight wire connector.
Stand in front of tractor.
Grasp hood at sides, tilt toward
engine and lift off of tractor.
To replace, reverse above procedures.

The choke control has been preset at the factory and ad-
justment should not be necessary. Check adjustment as
described below before loosening cable. If adjustment is
necessary, proceed as follows:
With engine not running, move choke control (located
on dash panel) to full choke position.
Loosen knob and remove cover assembly from air
cleaner.
Choke should be closed. If it is not, loosen casing clamp
screw and move choke cable until choke is completely
closed. Tighten casing clamp screw securely.
Replace air cleaner cover assembly and tighten
knob.
TO ADJUST CARBURETOR
Your carburetor is not adjustable. If your engine does not

ENGINE-GOVERNED HIGH SPEED NEEDS ADJUSTING,
CONTACT YOUR NEAREST AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER/
DEPARTMENT, WHICH HAS PROPER EQUIPMENT AND
EXPERIENCE TO MAKE ANY NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS.
TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULB
Raise hood.
Pull bulb holder out of the hole in the backside of the
grill.
Replace bulb in holder and push bulb holder securely
back into the hole in the backside of the grill.
Close hood.
