Compare the jacks on the device you want to connect and see if the same jacks are available on your TV. Then refer to the chart below to determine the best connection to make. For more information about connecting your TV to other devices, refer to the User's Guide that can be found in the support section on www.rca.com/television. Make sure you read the safety information provided separately before you connect and operate your TV. Jacks Quality Connects to... Cables needed (not included) COMPONENT (CVID) INPUT Pr Pb Y R-AUDIO-L Devices with Y Pb Pr (component) outputs, such as, HD Receivers, Satellite Receivers, Cable Boxes, DVRs, and DVD Players Component Video Audio R-AUDIO-L VIDEO COMPOSITE (VID) INPUT Devices with Video (composite) outputs, such as DVD Players, VCRs, Satellite Receivers, Cable Boxes, Camcorders, and Digital Cameras Video Audio Remember: The Component (CVID) and the Composite jacks (VID) share the R/L Audio jacks shown above. Note: If you're not getting a picture while using the component connection (above), check the connected device (for example, a Progressive Scan DVD player). You need to change the setting on the device from progressive to interlaced (480i). Refer to the User's Guide for more information. If you’re connecting a cable box or satellite
receiver and it has Component jacks (Y Pb Pr),
connect the cable box or satellite receiver to your
TV using the Component jacks (CVID) for a better
connection.
