LT 22 LINE TRANSFORMER Application Information The LT 22 fills the need of adding output isolation balancing transformers to any line-level equipment. It is a convenient alternative to the expense and clutter of adding loose or in-line transformers. The steel enclosure with mounting flanges provide an easy installation anywhere. Schematic Wiring No special instructions are necessary when wiring the LT 22. Use high-quality wire and choose the grounding method appropriate for the application. Inputs or outputs may be balanced or unbalanced in any combination. Connect unbalanced signal to the (+) terminal and shields to the (-) terminal. Signal Direction This is a 1:1 isolation transformer with no level changes. Signal can be isolated either direction through this unit. 2 T1 9 4 11 XFMR LINE OUT Chassis Grounding #6-32 screw terminals are provided for chassis grounding purposes. Good practice dictates earth-grounding the LT 22. If grounding integrity is in doubt, run a wire from one of these screws to a known earth ground. 2 T2 9 4 11 XFMR LINE OUT 12 -IN 1 11 +IN 1 10 9 Channel 1 8 -OUT 1 +OUT 1 7 6 5 -IN 2 +IN 2 4 3 Channel 2 2 -OUT 2 +OUT 2 1 EURO ©Rane Corporation 10802 47th Ave. W., Mukilteo WA 98275-5000 USA TEL 425-355-6000 FAX 425-347-7757 WEB rane.com Data Sheet-2 All features & specifications subject to change without notice 1-2014

Application Information
°e LT 22 fills the need of adding output isolation balanc-
ing transformers to any line-level equipment. It is a convenient
alternative to the expense and clutter of adding loose or in-line
transformers. °e steel enclosure with mounting flanges provide
an easy installation anywhere.
Wiring
No special instructions are necessary when wiring the LT 22. Use
high-quality wire and choose the grounding method appropriate
for the application. Inputs or outputs may be balanced or unbal-
anced in any combination. Connect unbalanced signal to the (+)
terminal and shields to the (–) terminal.
Signal Direction
°is is a 1:1 isolation transformer with no level changes. Signal
can be isolated either direction through this unit.
Chassis Grounding
#6-32 screw terminals are provided for chassis grounding purpos-
es. Good practice dictates earth-grounding the LT 22. If ground-
ing integrity is in doubt, run a wire from one of these screws to a
known earth ground.
