OPERATION  Allow the tool to recoil away from the work surface as the fastener is driven. EDGE GUIDE See Figures 7 - 8, page 12. The edge guide will keep the workpiece contact a certain distance from the edge of a straight workpiece. To assemble edge guide:  Remove battery pack from the tool.  Place edge guide onto the grooves in the magazine cover as shown.  Adjust edge guide to the width needed.  Tighten edge guide lock knob securely. To use edge guide:  Secure the workpiece to prevent movement.  Position the face of the edge guide firmly against the edge of workpiece.  Guide the pin nailer along the edge. NOTE: The guiding edge of the workpiece must be straight for the nail line to be consistent. DRY-FIRE LOCKOUT When the magazine has 0-16 nails remaining, the dry-fire lockout feature will not allow continued operation. To resume operation, remove battery pack and reload the tool with nails. NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the remaining nails. LED WORKLIGHT See Figure 9, page 12. Press the secondary trigger while firmly holding tool to activate the worklight. DIAGNOSTIC FEEDBACK The LED worklight provides feedback to indicate whether the battery pack is charged sufficiently and/or if the tool is functioning properly. If worklight is flashing, install fully charged battery. If light continues to flash, see the Troubleshooting section for more information. REMOVING NAILS FROM THE TOOL See Figure 10, page 12. WARNING: Remove the battery pack before removing nails or clearing a jammed nail. Failure to do so could result in serious personal injury.  Remove battery pack from the tool.  T o remove a strip of nails from the tool, depress the maga- zine release button located at the rear of the magazine and slide the magazine open.  Remove nails.  Close the magazine. REMOVING A JAMMED PIN NAIL See Figure 11, page 12.  Remove battery pack from the tool.  Open magazine and remove nails from the tool.  Using the hex wrench, remove the two bolts and drive guide cover.  Insert a flat blade screwdriver into the tip of the driving mechanism and push the driver mechanism back, freeing the nail jam.  Remove the bent nail.  Reinstall the drive guide cover and bolts, making sure they are secure.  Reinstall nails and close the magazine.  Reinstall the battery pack, reactivate tool. NOTE: Driving too deeply into the material, excess debris, or jammed nails may lead to a driver blade being stuck at its bottom position. The driver blade can usually be returned to its operating position by positioning the nose against a scrap piece of wood and squeezing the trigger. If the tool cycles without driving a nail, the nail channel may be dirty. See Cleaning the Nail Channel in the Maintenance section of this manual. 9 ­- English
