Before use of this product, familiarize yourself with all operating features and safety rules. ASSEMBLY UNPACKING This product requires assembly. n Carefully remove the items from the box. Make sure that all items listed in the packing list are included. WARNING: Do not use this product if any parts on the Packing List are already assembled to your product when you unpack it. Parts on this list are not assembled to the product by the manufacturer and require customer installation. Use of a product that may have been improperly assembled could result in serious personal injury. n Inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping. n Do not discard the packing material until you have carefully inspected and satisfactorily operated the tool. n If any parts are damaged or missing, please call 1-800-860-4050 for assistance. Any such alteration or modification is misuse and could result in a hazardous condition leading to possible serious personal injury. WARNING: Do not connect to power head until assembly is complete. Failure to comply could result in accidental starting and possible serious personal injury. JOINING THE EDGER ATTACHMENT TO THE ATTACHMENT SHAFT See Figure 2. This product requires a one one-time assembly of the edger head to the attachment shaft.  Remove rubber end cap from edger attachment shaft before installing.  Install the edger attachment shaft into opening on the gear head so that the hole on the top of the attachment shaft lines up with the shaft screw. Be sure the arrows on the gear head and the edger attachment shaft meet.  Tighten the shaft screw into the hole on the edger attachment shaft. NOTE: When the screw is properly installed the screw head will be completely seated against the casting. If this is not the case, the screw is not installed properly.  Tighten securely by turning the gear head screw to clamp gear head around shaft. NOTE: When fully secure, the shaft cannot be rotated. 6 - English

UNPACKING
This product requires assembly.
Carefully remove the items from the box. Make sure that
all items listed in the packing list are included.

JOINING THE EDGER ATTACHMENT TO THE
ATTACHMENT SHAFT
See Figure 2.
This product requires a one one-time assembly of the edger
head to the attachment shaft.
Remove rubber end cap from edger attachment shaft
before installing.
Install the edger attachment shaft into opening on the
gear head so that the hole on the top of the attachment
shaft lines up with the shaft screw. Be sure the arrows
on the gear head and the edger attachment shaft meet.
Tighten the shaft screw into the hole on the edger
attachment shaft.
NOTE:
When the screw is properly installed the screw
head will be completely seated against the casting. If this
is not the case, the screw is not installed properly.
Tighten securely by turning the gear head screw to clamp
gear head around shaft.
NOTE:
When fully secure, the shaft cannot be rotated.
