The safe use of this product requires an understanding of the information on the product and in this operator's manual as well as a knowledge of the project you are attempting. Before use of this product, familiarize yourself with all operating features and safety rules. BATTERY COVER The battery cover protects the battery port from moisture and debris. BATTERY STORAGE COMPARTMENT The battery storage compartment offers a convenient place for storing your battery or to store an extra battery pack. GRASS CATCHER The grass catcher collects grass clippings and prevents them from being discharged across your lawn as you mow. NOTE: Mower will not start without the grass catcher or mulch plug attached. HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT LEVER The height adjustment lever provides cutting height adjustments. LED HEADLIGHTS LED headlights are located on the front of the unit to illuminate your path in low light conditions. The lights will operate continuously whenever the motor is running. NOTE: If the bail is pressed and released, the headlights will illuminate for 60 seconds. MULCHING PLUG When installed, the mulching plug covers the rear discharge opening and allows the mower blade to cut and recut for finer clippings. NOTE: Mower will not start without the grass catcher or mulch plug attached. START BUTTON AND BAIL The start button and bail are located on the upper handle of the mower. Depress the start button then engage the bail to start the motor and blades. Release the bail to stop the motor. NOTE: The motor and blades will also start if the bail is engaged first and the start button is pressed after. START KEY The start key must be inserted before the mower can be started. TILT SENSOR The tilt sensor prevents the unit from starting if it is in a vertical position or tilted at an angle greater than 45º. 7 - English
