ASSEMBLY WARNING: To prevent accidental starting, do not make any adjustments or installations with the battery pack inserted. Accidental starting of the snow blower during assembly could result in serious personal injury. INSTALLING INTERMEDIATE HANDLE See Figure 2. Align the holes on the intermediate handle with the holes in the lower handle as shown. Insert J-bolt through both handles with the threaded end at the bottom and facing inside. Install the handle knob and tighten securely to secure the bolt in place. Repeat on the opposite side to secure the intermediate handle in place. INSTALLING CHUTE ROTATION LEVER BOTTOM ROD See Figure 3. NOTE: The lever bracket and opening on the back of the snow blower housing are keyed to match the end of the chute rotation lever bottom rod. Make sure to orient the rod in the same direction as the keyed holes when installing the lever. Slide the end of the chute rotation lever bottom rod through the bracket on the intermediate handle. Insert the rod into the hole in the snow blower housing until it is fully seated. INSTALLING UPPER HANDLE See Figures 4 - 5. Align the hole on the upper handle with the hole in the intermediate handle as shown. NOTICE: Do not allow the starter cable to become pinched or trapped when aligning the handles. Insert threaded end of handle lock through both handles with the threaded end facing inside. Install the handle knob and tighten to secure. Repeat on the opposite side. Open the handle locks. Pull up and back on the upper handle to raise it into operating position. NOTICE: Do not allow the starter cable to become pinched or trapped when raising the handle. Close the handle locks to secure the upper handle in place. NOTE: If the upper handle is loose or separated from the lower handle, tighten the knobs on the handle locks by turning them clockwise. To lower the handle assembly: Open the handle locks. NOTE: If the handle lock is difficult to open, loosen the knobs on the handle locks by turning them counterclockwise. Lower the upper handle. INSTALLING CHUTE ROTATION LEVER UPPER ROD See Figure 6. Install the upper rod of the chute rotation lever over the lower end of the lever. Align the holes in the two parts of the lever and insert the hitch pin through the holes as shown to secure. Turn the lever left and right to verify the proper functioning of the lever and the chute.
