● SYSTEM SETUP SETTING UP THE AUDIO OPTIONS Allows you to set up the Audio device and sound status depending on the audio system being used with the player. 1. With the unit in Stop mode, press the MENU button. 2. Press the ▲▼ buttons to select Setup, then press the ENTER or ► button. Digital Output • PCM : Select this when your equipment does not decode Dolby Digital. • Bitstream : Outputs Dolby Digital or DTS audio as Bitstream. Select this when your AV receiver or AV amplifier has a Dolby Digital or DTS Decoder. Photo Language Setup Setup Audio Setup Digital Output : PPCCMM No Disc Display Setup Bitstream PCM Down Sampling : On HDMI Setup Dynamic Compression : On Parental Setup Speaker Setup System Upgrade M  If you have selected a LPCM sound track on a disc, the output will automatically be set to PCM.  Be sure to select the correct Digital Output or you will hear no sound or a loud noise.  When playing a Dolby Digital movie make sure the Digital Output is set to Bitstream.  If the HDMI device (Receiver, TV) is not compatible with compressed formats (Dolby digital, DTS), The audio signal outputs as PCM. Digital Output
PCM :
Select this when your equipment does not decode
Dolby Digital.
Bitstream :
Outputs Dolby Digital or DTS audio as
Bitstream. Select this when your AV receiver or AV amplifier
has a Dolby Digital or DTS Decoder.
