Basics Fingerprint recognition You can unlock the screen after signing in with a Google account by teaching Chrome to recognize your fingerprint. If you change the Google account password, all of your fingerprint data will be deleted. Registering your fingerprint 1 Select the clock on the taskbar. 2 Select to open the Settings window. 3 Select People → Screen lock and sign-in 4 Enter the Google account password and select Confirm. 5 Select Set up next to Edit Fingerprints. 6 Select Add Fingerprint. 7 Repeatedly lift and rest your finger on the fingerprint recognition sensor until setup is complete. The fingerprint recognition sensor's location may vary depending on the model. 8 Select Done to complete the fingerprint registration. If you want to add another fingerprint, select Add Fingerprint. 25
