Self diagnosis Picture Test If you think you have a picture problem, perform the picture test. Check the color pattern on the screen to see if the problem still exists. 1 Press the - button for more than 5 seconds. ➢ The Self Diagnostic Test menu appears. 2 Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select Picture Test, then press the ENTER button. ➢ The message Does the problem still exist with this test pattern? is displayed. 3 Press the ◄ or ► button to select Yes or No. • Yes: The message Contact Samsung's call center at 1-800-SAMSUNG for assistance. is displayed. • No: The message If the self diagnosis picture is OK, picture distortion may be caused by your external device. Please check your connections. If the problem still persists, refer to the external device's user manual. is displayed. Yes No Sound Test If you think you have a sound problem, perform the sound test. You can check the sound by playing a built-in melody from the TV's speakers. 1 Press the - button for more than 5 seconds. ➢ The Self Diagnostic Test menu appears. 2 Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select Sound Test, then press the ENTER button. ➢ The message Does the problem still exist with this test pattern? is displayed. 3 Press the ◄ or ► button to select Yes or No. • Yes: The message Contact Samsung's call center at 1-800-SAMSUNG for assistance. is displayed. • No: The message If the self diagnosis sound is OK, sound distortion may be caused by your external device. Please check your connections. If the problem still persists, refer to the external device's user manual. is displayed. ➢ If you hear no sound from the TV's speakers, before performing the sound test, make sure Select Speaker is set to TV Speaker in the Sound menu. ➢ You can also hear the melody even when TV Speaker is set to Off or the MUTE button has been pressed. ➢ When you connect headphones to the TV, you can hear the melody through the headphones.
