Messages (Menu 5) Use the Messages menu to send and receive text messages, multimedia messages, and e-mails. You can also access push messages and cell broadcast messages. To access this menu, press in Idle mode and select Messages. Create message (Menu 5.1) Use this menu to create and send messages. Text message (Menu 5.1.1) Short Message Service (SMS) allows you to send or receive text messages that may include simple pictures, animated images, and melodies. Creating and sending an SMS message 1. Enter your message and press [Centre]. • The maximum number of characters allowed in a message varies by service provider. If your message exceeds the maximum number of characters, the phone will split the message. • You can use various options by pressing .next section 2. Enter a destination number. To send the message to more than one recipient, fill in additional destination fields. 3. Press [Centre] to send the message. Using options while composing an SMS message While composing a message, press to access the following options: • Send only: just send the message. • Save and send: save the message in the Sentbox folder and then send it. 53 Menu functions Messages (Menu 5)
