12.2 Dual port support Constellation SAS drives have two independent ports. These ports may be connected in the same or different SCSI domains. Each drive port has a unique SAS address. The two ports have the capability of independent port clocking (e.g. both ports can run at 6Gbit/sec or the first port can run at 6Gbit/sec while the second port runs at 3Gbit/sec. The supported link rates are 1.5, 3.0, or 6.0 Gbits/sec. Subject to buffer availability, the Constellation drives support: • Concurrent port transfers-The drive supports receiving COMMAND, TASK management transfers on both ports at the same time. • Full duplex-The drive supports sending XFER_RDY, DATA and RESPONSE transfers while receiving frames on both ports. 46 Constellation SAS Product Manual, Rev. Dual port support

Constellation SAS drives have two independent ports. These ports may be connected in the same or different

Subject to buffer availability, the Constellation drives support:
