Using the RS 145 comfort system If there is no signal from the sound source for more than three minutes, the transmitter automatically switches off and the operation indicator 8 goes off. The transmitter is now in standby mode, its power consumption is very low so that it can remain connected to the mains. When not using the transmitter for extended periods of time, pull out the mains connector from the wall socket. In this case, however, the headphones' rechargeable batteries will not be recharged. Listening at high volume levels for long periods can lead to permanent hearing defects. ̈ Before putting the headphones on, set the volume to a low level (see page 16). ̈ Do not continuously expose yourself to high volumes.
