Error indicators and warnings When you load an unplayable disc or fail to perform operations properly, the following messages are displayed on the AV control unit, the DVD player and the TV screen. SD-AT50 DX-AT50 ENGLISH References - Error indicators and warnings - AV control unit display Meaning ! Place the system away from noise source or plug the AC power cords to other AC outlets. (*) ! The speaker is not connected properly. ! The amplifier is defective. Set the system to the stand-by mode and turn the power on again. (*) ! The amplifier is defective. Set the system to the stand-by mode and turn the power on again. (*) ! The subwoofer/amplifier is defective. ! Place the system away from noise source or plug the AC power cords to other AC outlets. (*) ! The cooling fan on the back of the subwoofer/amplifier does not run due to foreign objects caught in it. Is the system unplugged? ! The digital audio input jack is not connected proper- ly. ! Unspecified signal is received and cannot be recog- nized. ! The system connection cable is unplugged. ! The temperature is too high. Set the system to the stand-by mode and wait for a while. (*): Should the same message appear even if the DVD player and the subwoofer/amplifier unit are unplugged and plugged in or are set to the stand-by mode and on again, contact your local dealer where you purchased the subwoofer/amplifier unit. DVD player display Meaning ! The disc is not loaded. ! The disc is scratched or dirty and cannot be recog- nized. ! The disc is loaded upside down. TV screen Disc Error: Playback feature may not be available on this Disc. Please eject the disc. Region Error: Playback is not authorized in your region. Please eject the disc. 1/5 C 8 / 30 01 : 23 : 40 Meaning The disc cannot be played with this system or the disc is loaded in an incorrect way. The region number of the DVD is not "1" or "ALL". The disc does not support the operation described in this operation manual. " Condensation Sudden temperature changes, storage or operation in an extremely humid environment may cause condensation inside the cabinet (laser pickup, etc.) or on the transmitter on the remote control. Condensation can cause the system to malfunction. If this happens, leave the power on with no disc in the DVD player until normal playback is possible (about 1 hour). Error indicators and warnings
When you load an unplayable disc or fail to perform operations properly, the following
messages are displayed on the AV control unit, the DVD player and the TV screen.

Condensation
Sudden temperature changes, storage or operation in an extremely humid environ-
ment may cause condensation inside the cabinet (laser pickup, etc.) or on the trans-
mitter on the remote control.
Condensation can cause the system to malfunction. If this happens, leave the power
on with no disc in the DVD player until normal playback is possible (about 1 hour).
Wipe off any condensation on the transmitter with a soft cloth before operating the
system.
