IRON PROBLEM The iron does not warm up; The iron warms up but no steam or only a little comes out of the iron when the steam button (4) is pressed; The iron soleplate drips; The boiler drain cap (23) produces steam or water once it has been opened for descaling; The iron stains fabrics; CAUSE The iron thermostat knob (3) is on position MIN "minimum"; No power is supplied to socket; SOLUTION Set the knob in the correct position Check if power reaches the socket trying to plug in another electrical appliance. The water tank is empty; The steam knob (17) is on position MIN "minimum"; The steam knob is clogged by scale; The boiler is clogged by scale; Refill the tank with water. Rotate the steam regulation knob into the position MAX. Turn the steam knob (17) ring nut towards right and left a fwe times. Descale the boiler following instructions. The iron thermostat (3) is not set on "steam" position " " ; Condensed steam is on the boiler connection pipe; Set the knob on "steam" position " ". A bit of dripping water is normal when you start ironing. The cap (23) is not tightened; The cap gasket is worn; Tighten the cap firmly (23). Replace the gasket. Perfumes or additives have been poured into the water; Use only tap or demineralized water of safe origin. Coloured fabrics become shiny; The suction/blowing function does not operate; The board cover gets wet while ironing; The board "leaks" water after ironing; Way of ironing is wrong; Check right ironing temperature on the care label. Iron garments inside out or place a cloth on them. Use an original Teflon coated soleplate, available as accessory. The OFF/ Iron/Boiler selector (6) is switched off; No power is supplied to the socket of power supply; Switch the selector (6) to boiler position; Check that power is supplied by plugging in another electrical appliance. Too much steam is used; The iron soleplate drips; Reduce steam; too much steam does not make ironing easier; A few drops of water are normal when you start ironing; increase iron temperature. An extended use of steam while in blowing function may cause losses of water-drops from the board; Don't steam iron too much with blowing function 11
