English Bluetooth™ portable speaker MBS-100 With the Bluetooth™ portable speaker MBS-100 you can enjoy wireless stereo audio from a phone or other Bluetooth device such as a computer or a portable music player. When you receive or make a call, the music automatically pauses and then starts playing again when the call ends. Your phone or other Bluetooth device requires support of the following Bluetooth profiles: • Bluetooth Advanced Audio Distribution • Bluetooth Audio/Video Remote Control Product overview Before using the speaker, see picture 1 for a product overview. Charging Before using your speaker for the first time, charge it with the supplied charger for 4 hours. See picture 1. Turning the speaker on and off To turn on the speaker 1. When the speaker is off, press the on/off key. See picture 1. 2. The speaker shows that the power is on. See picture 4. To turn off the speaker 1. When the speaker is on, press the on/off key. See picture 1. 2. The speaker shows that the power is off. See picture 4. Pairing the speaker Before you can use your speaker with your phone it has to be paired with the phone. Follow the instructions in your phone User guide on how to turn on Bluetooth in the phone. See your phone User guide on how to pair a Bluetooth device. If required, the speaker passcode is 0000. Note: When you turn on the speaker for the first time, it will automatically enter pairing mode. To pair the speaker with the phone 1. Turn on Bluetooth in the phone. 2. Place the phone within 20 cm (8 inches) from the speaker. 3. Make sure the speaker is on. Press and hold down the Bluetooth key. See picture 1. 4. The speaker enters pairing mode and flashes green and red. See picture 4. 5. The speaker enters idle mode and flashes green when successfully paired. See picture 4. Note: The speaker enters idle mode if you do not pair it with the phone within 10 minutes. Range When you have paired the speaker with your phone, you can listen to music as long as the speaker is turned on and within 10 metres (33 feet) of the phone, with no solid objects in between. Objects, walls and greater distance than five metres (16.5 feet) can affect the sound. See picture 3. Listening to music To listen to music 1. Start the media player in your phone to listen to music. If needed, follow the instructions from the phone User guide. 2. The speaker indicates music mode. See picture 4. Note: Music can only be controlled from the music source. Adjusting volume To adjust speaker volume • Volume can only be adjusted from the music source. Follow the instructions from the music source User guide. Connecting to music equipment To connect the speaker to other music equipment • Connect other portable media players to line-in. See picture 2. • Connect the speaker to other music equipment with line-out. See picture 2. Note: The speaker exits pairing mode when the line-in cable is connected. Battery When the battery needs charging, the indicator light flashes red. If you do not charge the speaker, it automatically turns off. Troubleshooting Unexpected behaviour • Reset the speaker if it behaves unexpectedly. To reset the speaker 1. Turn on the speaker. 2. Press and hold down the Bluetooth key to enter pairing mode. The speaker starts to flash green and red. 3. Simultaneously press and hold down both on/off key and the Bluetooth key. 4. The speaker automatically turns off when the reset is done. The speaker is automatically turned off 1. The battery needs charging. The indicator light on the speaker flashes red. 2. A battery that has been infrequently used or a new one, could have reduced capacity. It may need to be recharged a number of times. No connection to the speaker 1. Make sure the speaker is charged and within range of the phone. 2. Check or redo the Bluetooth settings in the phone. See Pairing the speaker. Reconnecting the speaker with the phone To reconnect the speaker to the phone 1. Start the media player in your phone to listen to music. If needed, follow the instructions from the phone User guide. 2. Press the Bluetooth key. The speaker reconnects to the last paired phone. 3. The speaker indicates music mode. See picture 4. Pairing the speaker again or with another phone To pair again or with another phone 1. Make sure the speaker is turned on. 2. Repeat the instruction for how to pair the speaker with a phone. See To pair the speaker with the phone. 3. Five different streaming devices can be paired with the speaker simultaneously. If a sixth device is paired with the speaker, it replaces the first device that has been paired with the speaker. No sound in the connected music equipment • Disconnect and connect the line-out connector. FCC statement This device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules. Nota: Cuando se enciende el altavoz por oprimiera vez, se pone automáticamente en modo asociación. Para asociar el altavoz con el teléfono 1. Active Bluetooth en el teléfono. 2. Coloque el teléfono a 20 cm (8 pulgadas) del altavoz. 3. Cerciórese de que el altavoz está encendido. Mantenga pulsada la tecla Bluetooth. Véase la ilustración 1. 4. Cobertura Después de asociar el altavoz con el teléfono, podrá escuchar música mientras el altavoz permanezca encendido y se encuentre a una distancia máxima de 10 metros (33 pies) del teléfono, sin que interfiera ningún objeto sólido. Los objetos, las paredes y las distancias superiores a cinco metros (16,5 pies) pueden afectar a la calidad del sonido. Véase la ilustración 3. Escuchar música Para escuchar música 1. Inicie el reproductor de medios del teléfono para escuchar música. Si fuera necesario, siga las instrucciones de la Guía del usuario del teléfono. 2. El altavoz indica que se encuentra en modo música. Véase la ilustración 4. Nota: La música sólo se puede controlar desde el dispositivo reproductor. Ajuste del volumen Para ajustar el volumen del altavoz • El volumen sólo se puede ajustar en el dispositivo reproductor. Conexión al dispositivo reproductor de música Para conectar el altavoz a otro dispositivo reproductor de música • Conecte el reproductor multimedia portátil como salida. Batería Cuando es necesario cargar la batería, el indicador luminoso parpadea en rojo. Si no carga el altavoz, se apagará automáticamente. Resolución de problemas Comportamiento imprevisto • Si el altavoz funciona de forma anómala, reinícielo. Para reiniciar el altavoz 1. Encienda el altavoz. 2. Mantenga pulsada la tecla Bluetooth para ponerlo en modo asociación. La luz del altavoz parpadea en verde y rojo. 3. Mantenga pulsadas simultáneamente la tecla de encendido/apagado y la tecla Bluetooth. 4. Cuando se realiza el reinicio, el altavoz se apaga automáticamente. El altavoz se apaga solo 1. Hay que cargar la batería. El indicador luminoso parpadea en verde. 2. Una batería que no se ha utilizado con frecuencia o una batería nueva pueden tener una capacidad reducida. Es posible que deba recargarla varias veces. No hay conexión con el altavoz 1. Asegúrese de que el altavoz esté cargado y dentro de a cobertura del teléfono. 2. Compruebe o vuelva a configurar los ajustes de Bluetooth en el teléfono. Consulte Asociación del altavoz. Volver a conectar el altavoz con el teléfono Para volver a conectar el altavoz al teléfono 1. Inicie el reproductor multimedia del teléfono para escuchar música. Si fuera necesario, siga las instrucciones de la Guía del usuario del teléfono. 2. Pulse la tecla Bluetooth. Repita el proceso indicado para asociar el altavoz con un teléfono. Consulte Para asociar el altavoz con el teléfono. 3. El altavoz se puede estar asociado con cinco transmisores al mismo tiempo. Si se asocia un sexto dispositivo al altavoz, sustituirá al primer que se asoció. El equipo de música conectado no suena • Desconecte y vuelva a conectar el conector de entrada.
