Power Sources Two separate power sources are needed to operate this unit: one for the unit itself and one for the clock/timer/memory. You can use the unit either with house current, or batteries. In either case, be sure to insert batteries for the clock/ timer/memory. House Current -a- Insert four size AA (86) O Fri 0 co cr, EL batteries for clock/timer/memory (see below). 2 to a wall outlet AC power cord (supplied) Batteries to AC IN Insert four size AA (FIG) batteries for clock/timer/memory. e Insert eight size 0 (820) batteries. o C C 49"-• O CU C o Notes • The unit cannot be operated on the internal batteries when the AC power cord is connected to the unit. • For critical recordings or disc playing, operating the unit on house current is recommended. 8 Battery replacement Batteries to operate of the CD radio cassette-corder: when the batteries are weak, the OPR/BATT indicator will become faint. In this case, if you try to operate the recorder, the power might be turned off. Replace all the batteries with new ones. Batteries for the clock/timer/memory operation of the unit: when the batteries are weak, the indication in the display window becomes faint. Replace the batteries with new ones. When you replace the batteries for clock/timer/memory, be sure to connect the AC power cord to the unit and to the wall outlet and turn the power on before you remove the batteries.
