Location of controls i (headphones) TUNING MEGA BASS FUNCTION POWER OPR/BATT VOL* PLAY MODE Choosing Power Sources Connecting the AC power adaptor Playing a CD 1 Turn on the player. 1 2 to DC IN to a 6V wall outlet AC power adaptor (supplied) 2 Press Z to open the CD compartment. Display DC IN 6V Using the player on batteries PUSH CLOSE Insert four size AA (R6) batteries (not supplied) into the battery compartment. ** To release the battery Press the # side of the battery and then take out the battery. * There is a tactile dot beside VOL to show the direction to turn up the volume. ** The u button has a tactile dot. , 3 Place a CD in the CD compartment. 12 cm CD Push down until it clicks into place. 8 cm CD Insert aligning the center part. To listen through headphones Connect the headphones to the i (headphones) jack. To reinforce the bass sound Set MEGA BASS to "ON". To return to normal sound, set the switch to "OFF". If the battery compartment lid comes off Insert the right corner of the lid and then insert the left corner aligning it to the groove of the battery compartment. With the label side facing you 4 Press PUSH CLOSE to close the the lid of the CD compartment. Notes • To use the player on batteries, disconnect the AC power adaptor from the player. The player does not operate on batteries as long as the AC power adaptor is connected. • Replace the batteries when the OPR/BATT indicator dims or when the player stops operating. Replace all batteries with new ones. 5 Set FUNCTION to "CD". Display Total track number 6 Press u. The player plays all the tracks once. About CD-Rs/CD-RWs This CD player can play CD-Rs/CD-RWs recorded in the CD-DA format*, but playback capability may vary depending on the quality of the disc and the condition of the recording device. * CD-DA is the abbreviation for Compact Disc Digital Audio.
