Basic Operations 2 Press A (or OPEN/CLOSE on the remote) to open the glass door and place a CD on the disc tray. Fit the CD onto the spindle. Place with the label side up. 3 Press A (or OPEN/CLOSE on the remote) again to close the glass door. 4 Press FUNCTION repeatedly until "CD" appears. 5 Press z REC on the remote. The tape stands by for recording and the CD stands by for playback. "SYNCHRO" and "REC" appear. 6 Press DIR MODE on the remote to select "g" to record on one side of the tape or "j" to record on both sides. 7 Press S on the remote. Recording starts on the side of the tape facing towards you. 15
