1 Press Z PUSH and insert a recordable tape into the cassette holder. With the side you want to record on facing towards you n x N AM .m BAND X FM M> - + TUNE Z To stop recording Press x. Tip To record with the Dolby NR system on, press DOLBY NR on the remote before step 7. ";" appears. Notes • You cannot listen to another source during CD Synchro Recording. • You cannot start recording on the side facing away from you. Basic Operations 2 Press A (or OPEN/CLOSE on the remote) to open the glass door and place a CD on the disc tray. Fit the CD onto the spindle. Place with the label side up. 3 Press A (or OPEN/CLOSE on the remote) again to close the glass door. 4 Press FUNCTION repeatedly until "CD" appears. 5 Press z REC on the remote. The tape stands by for recording and the CD stands by for playback. "SYNCHRO" and "REC" appear. 6 Press DIR MODE on the remote to select "g" to record on one side of the tape or "j" to record on both sides. 7 Press S on the remote. Recording starts on the side of the tape facing towards you. 15
