Availabley features Locking the controls (HOLD) You can lock the controls on your CD player to prevent accidental button presses. Slide HOLD in the direction of the arrow. Protecting your hearing (AVLS) The AVLS (Automatic Volume Limiter System) function keeps down the maximum volume to protect your hearing. Set AVLS to "LIMIT." Displayed when "LIMIT" is selected and the AVLS function is working. Flashes when the HOLD function is working. To unlock the controls Slide HOLD in the opposite direction of the arrow. If you turn up the volume to " *" "AVLS" flashes and you cannot turn up the volume any more. When you want to turn up the volume to more than " *," set AVLS to "NORM." * For the customers in France This level is set to " ." To turn off the AVLS function Set AVLS to "NORM." Note If the sound is distorted when you simultaneously use the SOUND and AVLS functions, turn down the volume. 13
