B Connecting to a power source You can use the following power sources: • LR6 (size AA) alkaline batteries • AC power adaptor For the battery life, see "Specifications." To attach the battery compartment lid If the battery compartment lid is detached by an accidental drop, excessive force, etc., attach it as illustrated below. Using the dry batteries For inserting procedure, see "Playing an audio CD or ATRAC3 plus/ATRAC3/MP3 files." To remove the batteries Remove the batteries as illustrated below. Using the AC power adaptor Connect the AC power adaptor (not supplied) to the DC IN 4.5 V jack and an AC outlet. to an AC outlet When to replace the batteries You can check the remaining power of the batteries in the display.
