DCR-TRV50 Digital Handycam® Camcorder F E AT U R E S ➤1/4" Advanced HAD™ CCD Imager, 1.5 Mega Pixels Gross 1/4" Advanced HAD (Hole Accumulation Diode) CCD imager with 970K (effective) pixels provides excellent detail and clarity, with exceptional digital video performance. Realize great looking digital still images utilizing 1390K (effective) pixels. The Mega Pixel technology enhances your digital videos and digital photography performance. Mini DV Recording Mini DV digital recording format delivers 3X color bandwidth of VHS and lower signal to noise ratio compared to analog formats and provides stunning video performance. ➤Network Capability with BlueTooth™ Technology Connect the camera, wirelessly, via BlueTooth™ technology, to the Internet. This allows wireless transfer of still images and MPEG1 movies, captured on Memory Stick® media, via the optional modem adapter (BTA-NW1). Images and MPEG movies can be emailed to family and friend, or shared via Sony's ImageStationSM Service on the World Wide Web. You can even browse the Internet wirelessly. Advanced HAD™ CCD Technology The Advanced HAD (Hole Accumulation Diode) enhanced CCD design allows for more light to reach the imager which reduces video noise to improve signal-tonoise ratio by up to 6dB (2X better than a standard CCD imager). Particularly effective when shooting in dark situations. ➤530 Lines of Horizontal Resolution Sony's advanced HAD™ Mega Pixel CCD technology, combined with Carl Zeiss® optics provide outstanding video performance with up to 530 horizontal lines of resolution. Professional Quality Carl Zeiss® Vario-Sonnar Lens Carl Zeiss lens have an advanced optical multi-layer coating offering less glare and flare with increased contrast. This results in vivid image brilliance, true-to-life color saturation, and perfect renditions of subtle tones. 10X Optical/120X Precision Digital Zoom The Carl Zeiss® Optical Zoom brings the action close up from far away. In addition, precision digital zoom interpolation technology means that extreme digital zooming is clearer, with less distortion than previous types of digital zoom. ➤3.5" SwivelScreen™ LCD Display (246K Pixels) The 3.5" SwivelScreen™ LCD display provides excellent viewing clarity with improved resolution. The 246K pixel LCD display makes images sharp and detailed during playback or when monitoring recording. ➤Touch Panel LCD with Stylus The "On Screen" touch panel system allows you to navigate through the camera's menu system at the touch of the LCD screen using the supplied stylus. Precision Color Viewfinder (180K Pixels) Increased pixel count provides more detail and clarity of video subjects. Super SteadyShot Picture Stabilization System An advanced version of Sony's SteadyShot system that controls an even higher range of shake and vibration frequencies, to achieve an even higher level of smoothness without degradation of video like some other image stabilization systems. Digital Still Memory Mode with Memory Stick® Media Digital Still Memory Mode captures high quality Mega Pixel still images up to 1360 x 1020 resolution directly onto Memory Stick media for easy transfer to PC's for email, printing, or sharing with other compatible Memory Stick devices. MPEG Movie EX Mode Unlike other MPEG1 movies, MPEG Movie EX will allow you to record uninterrupted to the full capacity of the Memory Stick media. For example, the 128MB Memory Stick media will record up to 85 minutes of non-stop MPEG videos. i.LINK®* DV Interface (IEEE1394) A high speed bi-directional digital video/audio communication between two devices equipped with a IEEE1394 interface, including camcorders, digital VCRs, and PCs. Analog-to-Digital Conversion with Pass-Through Convert and/or record any analog NTSC video source to digital video via the analog inputs. Analog NTSC video can also be passed-through the Digital Handycam camcorders directly into a PC via the i.LINK interface in real time for easy PC editing of your analog footage. USB Streaming Stay connected with family and friends by broadcasting live video with audio, via the internet with the USB interface. You can even playback your favorite recorded scene stored on tape.
