Digital8® Video Recording Digital8 recording format delivers 3X the color bandwidth of VHS with significantly less video noise providing stunning video performance. Digital8 format records digital audio and video comparable to Mini DV on affordable Hi8™ tapes. Backwards Compatible Play back existing 8mm and Hi8 analog recorded tapes. ➤Advanced HAD™ CCD Technology The Advanced Hole Accumulation Diode enhanced CCD design allows for more light to reach the imager which reduces video noise to improve signal-to-noise ratio by up to 6dB (2X better than a standard CCD imager). ➤520 Lines of Horizontal Video Resolution Enjoy digitally recorded video with 520 lines of horizontal resolution for outstanding video quality comparable to DV and DVD performance. 15X Optical / 420X Digital Zoom The optical zoom helps to bring the action up close from far away. Images are stored in a JPEG format providing easy transfer to PCs for email, printing, or sharing with family and friends. ➤MPEG Movie EX Mode Unlike other MPEG1 movies, MPEG Movie EX will allow you to record uninterrupted to the full capacity of the Memory Stick media. Super NightShot mode automatically adjusts the shutter speed to increase picture brightness and clarity.
