Press CP CHECK located on the top of the camcorder while the camcorder is in Standby mode or recording. Custom preset setting appears in the viewfinder. About the gain-shift setting Use the gain-shift function when you shoot under bright conditions. It adjusts the gain as close as -3 dB automatically. The gain-shift function does not work when you shoot under dark conditions. 50
