Help Guide How to use Digital Still Camera DSC-H400 Backup of various settings, date and time The rechargeable backup battery is continually charged as long as you are using the camera. However, if you use the camera for only short periods, it discharges gradually, and if you do not use the camera at all for about 3 months it becomes completely discharged. In this case, be sure to charge the rechargeable backup battery before using the camera. However, even if the rechargeable backup battery is not charged, you can still use the camera, but the date and time will not be indicated. If the settings are reset every time the battery is charged, the internal rechargeable backup battery may be exhausted. Contact your dealer or local authorized service facility. Charging method of the internal rechargeable backup battery Insert a charged battery in the camera, or connect the camera to a wall outlet (wall socket) using the AC adapter (supplied) and leave the camera for 24 hours or more while the power of the camera is turned off.
