Coping with shooting conditions Many settings and adjustment options are available on the menu (p. 45). Recording in dark places (LOW LUX/NIGHTSHOT) When you want to record images in dim light, set the STD/LOW LUX/ NIGHTSHOT switch to LOW LUX. appears, and images will be recorded brighter than if you do not use LOW LUX. When you set the STD/LOW LUX/ NIGHTSHOT switch to NIGHTSHOT, appears, and you can record images even in total darkness. Set the STD/LOW LUX/NIGHTSHOT switch to STD when recording in normal ambient light. Using NIGHTSHOT in bright places will cause a malfunction of your camcorder.
