multi flash, stopping motion To capture the subject in motion, you can set your flash to trigger multiple times during a single exposure when the subject is moving. Multi Flash will only work in Manual Mode, you should set your shutter speed based on the speed that your subject is moving and the desired number of times you want to freeze the action in a single exposure. When setting the Flash to Multi, set the number of times you want the flash to fire and the hertz (time delay) between each flash. For the photo to the left, the flash was set to fire 5 times at 3hz, which gave us a shutter speed of 1.6 seconds.
