Menus z 4:3 Default functions only when the TV receives 480i or 480p signals. z If 4:3 Default is set to anything but Off, the Wide Mode setting changes only for the current channel. When you change channels (or inputs), Wide Mode is automatically replaced with the 4:3 Default setting. To retain the current Wide Mode setting as channels and inputs are changed, set 4:3 Default to Off. z All White function finishes automatically after 30 minutes. If image retention is still present, repeat the function again. z To cancel All White and return to normal viewing, press any button on the remote control. z Once image retention occurs, it may become less conspicuous over time but it will never completely disappear. (See page 1 for more information on Image Retention.) Option Description 4:3 Default Wide Zoom Select the default Screen Mode to use for 4:3 sources Normal Select to enlarge the 4:3 picture to fill the 16:9 screen, keeping the original image as much as possible. Select to return the 4:3 picture to its original size. Full Select to enlarge the 4:3 picture horizontally only, to fill the 16:9 screen. Zoom Select to enlarge the 4:3 picture horizontally and vertically to an equal aspect ratio that fills the 16:9 screen. Useful for watching Letterbox movies. Off Select to continue using the current Wide Screen Mode setting when the channel or input is changed. Overscan Normal Displays a standard size picture. +1/+2 Allows you to adjust the viewable area of the picture. Vertical Center Allows you to move the position of the picture up and down in the window. Available only in Wide Zoom and Zoom modes. Press V or v and press to choose a correction between +10 and -10 (Zoom mode), and +10 and -10 (Wide Zoom mode). Vertical Size Allows you to adjust the vertical size of the picture. Available only in Wide Zoom and Zoom modes. Press V or v and press to choose a correction between +10 and -10. Screen Saver Orbit Moves the picture position to reduce image retention. This does not prevent image retention completely if the same picture is displayed for an extended period of time. All White Displays a white screen to reduce image retention. 98
