Other trademarks and trade names are those of their respective owners. Precautions On Bluetooth communication ˎˎ Bluetooth wireless technology operates within a range of about 10 meters (30 feet). Maximum communication range may vary depending on obstacles (human body, metal, wall, etc.) or electromagnetic environment. ˎˎ The antenna is built into the unit as illustrated in the dotted line. The sensitivity of the Bluetooth communication will improve by turning the direction of the built-in antenna to the connected Bluetooth device. The communication distance shortens when the obstacles are between the antenna of the connected device and this unit. Location of built-in antenna ˎˎ The following conditions may affect the sensitivity of Bluetooth communication. ēē There is an obstacle such as a human body, metal, or wall between this unit and Bluetooth device. ēē A device using 2.4 GHz frequency, such as a wireless LAN device, cordless telephone, or microwave oven, is in use near this unit. ˎˎ Because Bluetooth devices and wireless LAN (IEEE802.11b/g) use the same frequency, microwave interference may occur and resulting in communication speed deterioration, noise, or invalid connection if this unit is used near a wireless LAN device. In such a case, perform the following. ēē Use this unit at least 10 m (30 ft) away from the wireless LAN device. ēē If this unit is used within 10 m (30 ft) of a wireless LAN device, turn off the wireless LAN device. ēē Install this unit and Bluetooth device as near to each other as possible. ˎˎ Microwaves emitting from a Bluetooth device may affect the operation of electronic medical devices. Turn off this unit and other Bluetooth devices in the following locations, as it may cause an accident: ēē where inflammable gas is present, in a hospital, train, airplane, or a petrol station ēē near automatic doors or a fire alarm ˎˎ This unit supports security capabilities that comply with the Bluetooth standard to provide a secure connection when the Bluetooth wireless technology is used, but security may not be enough depending on the setting. Be careful when communicating using Bluetooth wireless technology. ˎˎ We do not take any responsibility for the leakage of information during Bluetooth communication. ˎˎ Connection with all Bluetooth devices cannot be guaranteed. ēē A device featuring Bluetooth function is required to conform to the Bluetooth standard specified by Bluetooth SIG, Inc. and be authenticated. ēē Even if the connected device conforms to the above mentioned Bluetooth standard, some devices may not be connected or work correctly, depending on the features or specifications of the device. ēē While talking on the phone hands free, noise may occur, depending on the device or communication environment. ˎˎ Depending on the device to be connected, it may require some time to start communication. If you cannot operate the unit ˎˎ Reset the unit. Insert a small pin, etc., into the hole, and push it until you feel a click. Pairing information is not deleted. ˎˎ If you are still unable to operate the unit even after the resetting operation above, initialize the unit as follows. Turn off the unit by pressing the POWER button for more than 2 seconds. Then, press and hold the POWER button and the / button together for about 7 seconds. The indicator (blue) flashes 4 times, and the unit is reset to the factory settings. All pairing information is deleted. What is noise canceling? ˎˎ The noise canceling circuit actually senses outside noise with built-in microphones and sends an equal-but-opposite canceling signal to the unit. ēē The noise canceling effect may not be pronounced in a very quiet environment, or some noise may be heard. ēē The noise canceling effect may vary depending on how you wear the unit. ēē The noise canceling function works for noise in the low frequency band primarily. Although noise is reduced, it is not canceled completely. ēē When you use the unit in a train or a car, noise may occur depending on street conditions. ēē Mobile phones may cause interference and noise. Should this occur, locate the unit further away from the mobile phone. ēē Do not cover the microphones of the headphones (MIC) with your hands. The noise canceling function may not work properly. MIC On charging the unit ˎˎ This unit can be charged using USB only. Personal computer with USB port, or USB Charging AC Power Adaptor AC-UD11 (sold separately) is required for charging. ˎˎ This unit cannot be turned on, and the BLUETOOTH function and noise canceling function cannot be used while charging. Note on static electricity ˎˎ Static electricity accumulated in the body may cause mild tingling in your ears. To minimise the effect, wear clothes made from natural materials. Others ˎˎ Do not place this unit in a place exposed to humidity, dust, soot or steam, subject to direct sunlight, or in a car waiting at a traffic signal. It may cause a malfunction. ˎˎ Using the Bluetooth device may not function on mobile phones, depending on radio wave conditions and location where the equipment is being used. ˎˎ If you experience discomfort after using the Bluetooth device, stop using the Bluetooth device immediately. Should any problem persist, consult your nearest Sony dealer. ˎˎ Listening with this unit at high volume may affect your hearing. For traffic safety, do not use this unit while driving or cycling. ˎˎ Do not put weight or pressure on this unit as it may cause the unit to deform during long storage. ˎˎ Do not subject the unit to excessive shock. ˎˎ Clean the unit with a soft dry cloth. ˎˎ Do not expose the unit to water. The unit is not waterproof. Remember to follow the precautions below. ēē Be careful not to drop the unit into a sink or other container filled with water. ēē Do not use the unit in humid locations or bad weather, such as in the rain or snow. ēē Do not get the unit wet. Communication BLUETOOTH

La technologie BLUETOOTH sans fil fonctionne dans un rayon d’environ 10 mètres

La portée de communication maximale peut varier en fonction des obstacles

Si l’appareil ne fonctionne pas

Réinitialisez l’appareil.
Insérez une petite épingle ou un objet semblable dans le trou et appuyez jusqu’à
entendre un clic. Les informations de pairage ne sont pas supprimées.

Si l’appareil ne fonctionne toujours pas même après avoir été réinitialisé,
initialisez-le en suivant cette procédure.
Mettez l’appareil hors tension en appuyant sur le bouton POWER pendant plus de
2 secondes. Ensuite, maintenez le bouton POWER et le bouton

enfoncés
simultanément pendant environ 7 secondes. Le témoin (bleu) clignote 4 fois et
l’appareil est réinitialisé à ses paramètres d’usine. Toutes les informations de
pairage sont supprimées.
