Modifying Feed Options The Feed Options dialog allows you to edit a feed's title, URL, and download options. 1. C lick the RSS Media Feed Mode button at the top of the Media Manager for WALKMAN window. 2. In the My Feeds list, select the feed you would like to update. 3. C lick the Feed Options button below the feed description. The Feed Options dialog is displayed. C lick the More Feed Details button feed. to open your browser to the Web page associated with the 4. Modifying Feed Options
The Feed Options dialog allows you to edit a feed's title, URL, and download options.
1.
Click the
RSS Media Feed Mode
button
at the top of the Media Manager for WALKMAN window.
2.
In the
My Feeds
list, select the feed you would like to update.
3.
Click the
Feed Options
button
below the feed description. The Feed Options dialog is displayed.
Click the
More Feed Details
button
to open your browser to the Web page associated with the
feed.
4.
Make the following changes as necessary:
Item
Description
Title
Type the name you want to use to identify the feed in the My Feeds list.
URL
Type the Web address of the feed.
When new items are
available, download
Choose a setting from the drop-down list to indicate how many episodes you
want to download for the selected feed.
The feeds are downloaded when you click the
Ref resh Feeds
button or are
downloaded automatically if you've enabled the
Automatically refresh feeds
every
setting on the
RSS Media Feed
page in the Settings pane.
How many items to keep
Choose a setting from the drop-down list to indicate how many episodes you
want to preserve on your computer.
O lder episodes will be removed from your computer. Episodes on your
WALKMAN are not affected.
Automatically transfer new
items to device
Select this check box if you want to download episodes and transfer them
automatically when your WALKMAN is connected. Episodes that are queued to
be transferred automatically are marked with a
.
If you clear this check box, you will need to
transfer
episodes manually.
E-mail
C lick to open your default e-mail application and send a message to the feed's
publisher. If you're using a Web-based e-mail client, you can copy and paste the
address into a message.
This control is available only if the feed publisher has included an e-mail address
in the feed.
