This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Before Use The RM-KZ1 can perform the following functions on these devices: TV: power on/off, channel switching and volume level adjustment Cable set top box or satellite receiver: power on/ offˈ and channel switching ˈ Available after changing the setup of "Setting the power button functions" in "Additional Settings." The screw does not remove from the setup button cover completely. 2 Slide the setup button cover, then lift to open. Installing the batteries To install the batteries, you need to open the battery cover after opening the setup button cover. 1 Slide the battery cover, then lift to open. 2 Insert two size AAA (LR03) alkaline batteries (not supplied), negative end first, through the ©20g1u0idSeocnlaymCoprpwoirtahtiinoneacPhricnotmedpianrCtmhinenat. 3 Close the battery cover. Leave the setup button cover open to continue to set up the RM-KZ1. Battery life Under normal conditions, size AAA (LR03) alkaline batteries will last up to one year. If the RM-KZ1 does not operate properly, the batteries might be drained. Replace the batteries with new ones. Notes ˎ Do not use an old battery with a new one, or use any other type of battery such as carbon zinc or rechargeable. ˎ If the electrolyte inside the battery should leak, wipe the contaminated area of the battery compartment with a cloth and replace the old batteries with new ones. To prevent electrolyte leakage, remove the batteries if you plan not to use the RM-KZ1 for a long period of time. Setting the Manufacturer's Code Before assigning channels, you need to set the manufacturer's code for both TV and set top box in the following order. Set the manufacturer's code for the TV.
