Troubleshooting (continued) Symptom There is sufficient remaining battery power, but playback cannot be done. Some music tracks cannot be played. Cause/Remedy  The battery has deteriorated and should be replaced.  Consult your nearest Sony dealer or Sony Service Center.  If you add or delete files in the "RMF," "RSF," or "SMDB" folder on the player, or delete or rename these folders, some music tracks may not be displayed in the Rolly list on Rolly Choreographer and they may not be played on the player. Charging the battery Symptom Battery life is short. The battery is not charged. Cause/Remedy  The operating temperature is below 5 °C (41 °F).  Battery life sometimes becomes shorter due to the circumstances in which the battery is being used. This is not a malfunction.  Battery charging time is not sufficient.  Charge the battery sufficiently.  You have not used the player for a prolonged period.  The efficiency of the battery will be recovered by repeatedly charging and discharging it.  The battery should be replaced with a new one.  Consult your nearest Sony dealer or Sony Service Center.  The USB cable is not connected to a USB port on your computer properly.  Disconnect the USB cable, and then connect it again.  Use the supplied USB cable. 52 Others Symptom Even if you started charging the battery, the Play-button indicator does not light up in orange. Cause/Remedy  When the battery is discharged entirely, or has not been used for a prolonged period, the indicator may not light up immediately after the charging preparations are completed. After a few minutes, the indicator will light up in orange and charging of the battery will start. Computer connection/Rolly Choreographer Symptom When you install the software, an error message appears on the computer display. Even if you insert the supplied CDROM into the computer, the install wizard does not start automatically. Rolly Choreographer cannot be installed. Cause/Remedy  You may not be able to use the player with that computer. See the system requirements ( page 21).  The install wizard may not start even if the CD-ROM is inserted, depending on the computer setting. In this case, right-click the CD-ROM drive on Windows Explorer, double-click SetupSS.exe. The Main Menu for installation will appear.  Visit the website below.
