Index Function Playing Back from the Index Point - Index Scan Here's how to find and play a program you've marked with an index signal: 2 O O O O OD 4 3 • 3 Turn the DUAL MODE SHUTTLE ring clock- wise to find the previous program, or counter clockwise to find the next program. The INDEX SCAN indicator flashes continuously while scanning. The index scan locates the next marked index signal and plays about 10 seconds of tape prior to the signal. The VCR then rewinds or advances to the next index signal. Every time the VCR finds an index signal, playback begins and the displayed index number increases.
