Help Guide Wireless Speaker SRS-XG500 Listening to music wirelessly with 2 speakers (Stereo Pair function) To use the Stereo Pair function, 2 SRS-XG500 speakers are required. By connecting 2 speakers via BLUETOOTH connection, you can enjoy more powerful sound. 2 speakers connected via BLUETOOTH connections play sounds in stereo, where 1 speaker plays the sound on the right channel (right side) and the other plays the sound on the left channel (left side). For Apple iOS devices, the speaker is compatible with iOS 10.0 or later. A BLUETOOTH connection is not available on the devices with iOS 9.x or earlier. You can establish or disconnect a connection for the Stereo Pair function with "Sony | Music Center." For details about "Sony | Music Center," refer to the following URL: https://www.sony.net/smcqa/ Note While the speaker is in USB mode or in AUDIO IN mode, you cannot use the Stereo Pair function. Connecting a USB device or an audio device, such as portable audio device, to the PLAY/CHARGE port (USB1) or to the AUDIO IN jack on the speaker automatically places the speaker into USB mode or into AUDIO IN mode and turns off the Stereo Pair function. To avoid any sudden loud sound output from the speaker, turn down the volume of the speaker and a BLUETOOTH device or stop the playback on the BLUETOOTH device before establishing a connection with the BLUETOOTH device. Hint Turning off the speakers does not turn off the Stereo Pair function. When one of the speakers is turned back on, it attempts to establish a connection for the Stereo Pair function. To use the Stereo Pair function, turn on the other speaker within 1 minute. When the BLUETOOTH standby function remains active on both of the speakers, however, turning on either of the speakers automatically turns on the other and establish a connection for the Stereo Pair function. Help Guide
Wireless Speaker
SRS-XG500
Listening to music wirelessly with 2 speakers (Stereo Pair function)
To use the Stereo Pair function, 2 SRS-XG500 speakers are required. By connecting 2 speakers via BLUETOOTH
connection, you can enjoy more powerful sound.
2 speakers connected via BLUETOOTH connections play sounds in stereo, where 1 speaker plays the sound on the
right channel (right side) and the other plays the sound on the left channel (left side).
For Apple iOS devices, the speaker is compatible with iOS 10.0 or later. A BLUETOOTH connection is not available on
the devices with iOS 9.x or earlier.
You can establish or disconnect a connection for the Stereo Pair function with “Sony | Music Center.”
For details about “Sony | Music Center,” refer to the following URL:
Note
While the speaker is in USB mode or in AUDIO IN mode, you cannot use the Stereo Pair function.
Connecting a USB device or an audio device, such as portable audio device, to the PLAY/CHARGE port (USB1) or to the AUDIO
IN jack on the speaker automatically places the speaker into USB mode or into AUDIO IN mode and turns off the Stereo Pair
function.
To avoid any sudden loud sound output from the speaker, turn down the volume of the speaker and a BLUETOOTH device or
stop the playback on the BLUETOOTH device before establishing a connection with the BLUETOOTH device.
Hint
Turning off the speakers does not turn off the Stereo Pair function. When one of the speakers is turned back on, it attempts to
establish a connection for the Stereo Pair function. To use the Stereo Pair function, turn on the other speaker within 1 minute.
When the BLUETOOTH standby function remains active on both of the speakers, however, turning on either of the speakers
automatically turns on the other and establish a connection for the Stereo Pair function.
